This study presents a comprehensive scenario-based analysis of the development of the energy system in Central Asia, with a particular focus on the integration of renewable energy sources (RES) and their impact on regional energy security. Using advanced modeling techniques-including system dynamics, agent-based modeling, regression analysis, and scenario planning-the authors assess potential development pathways of the regional energy system through 2030. The results indicate that under conditions of active investment and strong government support, the share of renewable energy sources could reach 45-50%, significantly increasing the energy security index to 0.88 and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25-30%. The paper provides a detailed examination of the economic and environmental implications of renewable energy integration, as well as the key limitations and uncertainties associated with energy system modeling. The findings underscore the importance of a systemic approach and long-term strategic planning for enhancing energy resilience and environmental sustainability in Central Asia.
