ICAIIT 2026 — International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT

The discipline of Information Technologies is an important and highly dynamic field that continuously evolves in response to scientific, technological, industrial, environmental, economic, and societal challenges. At the same time, information technologies increasingly extend beyond the boundaries of IT as a standalone discipline and serve as an essential methodological and technological basis for research and innovation in other fields. Data processing and analysis, computational and mathematical modelling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software and digital systems, statistical methods, automation, and other IT-based approaches are increasingly used to investigate problems and develop solutions across a wide range of scientific and practical domains.

The International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT (ICAIIT) brings together researchers from academia and industry, as well as practitioners, to exchange ideas, research results, problems, and solutions related to the development and application of information technologies. The conference welcomes research not only focused directly on IT, but also interdisciplinary studies in which IT-based methods, technologies, models, or tools constitute a substantive part of the research methodology or solution.

Accordingly, research may be considered within the scope of ICAIIT when information technologies are applied to problems in areas such as science, engineering, education, healthcare, environmental studies, energy, economics, finance, social sciences, and other fields. The subject area itself does not have to be an IT discipline; however, the research should demonstrate a meaningful application, development, adaptation, or evaluation of information-technology-based methods or solutions.

ICAIIT Conference and Publications

The International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT (ICAIIT) is held once a year in March in Köthen, Germany. The conference provides an international forum for presenting and discussing recent research and practical developments in applied information technologies and their interdisciplinary applications. The peer-reviewed papers accepted and presented at the annual conference form the basis of the corresponding annual issue of the Conference Proceedings Journal, formally titled Proceedings of the International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT, or Proceedings of the ICAIIT.

The journal is published throughout the year and also provides opportunities for the publication of special issues outside the annual March conference. These special issues may be prepared in cooperation with international conferences, universities, research institutions, and other academic partners.

Special issues may include selected peer-reviewed papers originating from other international conferences with different thematic focuses, provided that the submitted research is compatible with the scope of ICAIIT. Authors are not required to attend or present their papers at the ICAIIT conference when submitting papers for such special issues. Papers may be submitted for publication only, subject to the journal's editorial and peer-review requirements.

This approach allows ICAIIT to bring together research from different scientific and applied fields while maintaining a common methodological foundation. Thus, a paper may be considered for publication even when its primary application domain is not information technology, provided that information technologies or IT-based methodologies play a substantial role in the research. This may include, for example, the use of artificial intelligence or machine learning in healthcare or environmental research, computational modelling in engineering or natural sciences, data analytics in economics or social sciences, digital technologies in education, automated systems in industry, or IT-based approaches to energy and environmental management.

The journal therefore considers the role of information technologies in the research, rather than the disciplinary label of the research area, as a key criterion for determining relevance to ICAIIT.

All accepted papers are published in the journal with an ISBN reference. Digitale Hochschulbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt is a member of CrossRef, and each published paper receives a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). Proceedings may be submitted for indexing by Clarivate Analytics (CPCI-S Web of Science) and Scopus, subject to the requirements and evaluation procedures of the respective indexing services.

The Proceedings of the ICAIIT is an open access publication. All published content is freely available, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full papers for lawful purposes.

The conference is designed to foster a collaborative environment, allowing scientists to connect, exchange ideas, and forge new partnerships. For this reason, in-person interaction is crucial. Therefore, this conference will be held exclusively in an offline format, requiring mandatory personal attendance.

Scholarship Announcement: Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the ICAIIT chairs are dedicated to helping young scholars achieve their research and academic goals. Therefore, we announce the offer of two partial scholarships covering conference registration fees to select early-career academics who might not otherwise have the financial resources to attend our academic conferences.

The candidate must be affiliated with an institution located in a low- or lower-middle-income country. The Conference Committee will give scholarships to qualified applicants whose abstracts were so exceptional that they passed the double-blind peer review process, obtained high scores, and were chosen to be presented at the conference.
