Higher body mass index (BMI) can be a risk for cardiovascular disease: however, the original causal links are still not clear. Objective: The study aims at determining relationship between BMI and cardio vascular disease. Patients and methods: Sixty situation, Thirty of them were male and thirty were female throughout of the study from January to February 2020 in AL-ZAHRAA Hospital. We recorded the medical history, body weight, height and BMI. The age ranged from (17 to74) years. In this study both were measured Aspartate aminotransferase (AST), Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL-Cho), High Density Lipoprotein (HDL-Cho), High Sensitive Troponin I (TNHS) and Atergenic Index Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL-Cho), Lactate Dehydrogenase(LDH), Creatine Kinase (CK), that measured the three types (Under Weight, Normal Weight and Over Weight). Results and Discussion: The mean anthropometric are indices in sera of the experimental groups. The results of the study showed the male situation (50%) was equal than female situation percentage (50%) with none significant differences (p>0.05) between these groups. Also, the mean value of Cholesterol is higher in over weight than normal and underweight with high significant differences(p<0.001) that mean ± SD for over, normal and underweight were (205.70±62.67), (146.60±49.59) and (137.40±33.71) mg/dl respectively. Triglyceride, (LDL-Cho) and Very (LDL-Cho) also high on overweight, but HDL-Cho is high on the underweight compared with other groups.
