The article examines the level of readiness of countries for the economy of the future based on an integral indicator formed from four international indices: Government AI Readiness Index (assessment of the role of artificial intelligence), Network Readiness Index (digitization and network effects), Global Innovation Index (innovation and human capital) and SDG Index (sustainable development). A methodology for constructing an integral indicator Future Economy Readiness Level (FERL) has been developed, which allows combining digital, innovative and socio-economic dimensions of development into a single generalized assessment. A comparative analysis of Ukraine and Germany in 2020–2024 was conducted, and FERL was also forecasted for 2025, which made it possible to identify the dynamics of key indicators and determine the strengths and weaknesses of both countries in the context of readiness for the economy of the future. The results of the study can be used to form strategies for digital transformation, innovation policy and ensuring sustainable development.
